My thoughts about art revolves around our need for art that I see as something timeless and existentially conditioned. In 2007 I wrote an Degree of Master of Arts at Stockholm University " Yrjo Hirn aesthetic theories", with emphasis that art is important because it provides people an opportunity to understand themselves, and also the world.

For me it is suitable to dare to let my technique go and more to trust my intuition. I think that the intuition is authentic and in touch with what is in the unconscious. When we stand before a painting, I think we become more aware, consciously or unconsciously we are looking back to patch up the past with the present, what we have lost but also what we have found within us, all in one. Most of all I want my art to bring the the viewer something in that regard and in that sense. I choose my technique and composition with the hope to arouse feelings or thoughts.

When I look at art I sometimes feel a flow. I become free from myself and feel a certain calm. Possibly it depends on the recognition that is one of our most important abilities. We are caught by something in a work of art affected in a way that makes it possible to lose control and to transfer us to a new space within us. Art as a liberator of mankind and art that can build relationships between us. If you think something about this or about my art, please let me know. I look forward to it.
